ICMP is an international umbrella trade association representing the interests of the music publishing community globally.
ICMP's constituent members are regional, national and international music publishers' associations throughout the world. Through these associations, we represent independent national music publishers, mainly SMEs, regional music publishers and international independent and major publishers. Our members cover all music genres, ranging from pop to classical and everything in between. They invest in lyricists and composers and advocate for fair and effective copyright laws, which allows them to make a living from their creativity.
ICMP's Board is elected by member associations. The Board appoints internal and external committees which address industry issues regionally and internationally. As the voice and point of reference of music publishing and the community of composers and songwriters, ICMP's mission is to increase the level of copyright protection internationally, encourage a better environment for the music publishing business, influence legislation and act as an industry forum for consolidating global positions.
